First student cohort starts MSc Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings
28 September 2017
In September 2017 UCL IEDE's new MSc course Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings officially welcomed its first group of new students from around the world!
Responding to the ever-growing world-wide interest in the sustainability agenda in buildings, and with a particular focus on health and wellbeing, the new MSc Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings officially started on the 26th September 2017 with a larger than expected intake of students. The new cohort includes architects, engineers, construction professionals and other disciplines from around the world.
During induction week, students experienced a busy timetable with plenty of opportunities to meet staff, get to know each other, and begin thinking about several new dimensions of the health, wellbeing and sustainable buildings agenda. From the built environment sensory walk, the student social event, to the meeting with members of the MSc Advisory Group, it is clear that the new course is off to a flying start.
The lively discussions amongst staff and students indicate the passion for the different dimensions of the course which builds on UCL IEDE’s strong links with industry and influential health and wellbeing related research projects. The course aims to create a new generation of experts with the skills required to innovatively tackle health and wellbeing issues in buildings.
