Primary supervisor: Mark Barrett
Secondary supervisor: Catalina Spataru, Luke Reedman

Starting date: October 2013
Projected completion date: October 2017

Yunyang’s research interests lie at the structure of future power systems with high penetration of renewable energy in Australia.

The project is seeking the smooth pathway to a renewable power system from today’s system under various policy and environment constraints, also the structure of future power systems, particularly in the renewable energy in the generation mix and the cross-continental super-grid.

Biography

Yunyang graduated with an MSc in Power Systems Engineering from UCL. He came to UCL Energy Institute with a BHP Billiton scholarship to pursue a PhD looking at the structure of future power systems with high penetration of renewable energy.

Yunyang is supervised jointly by UCL Energy Institute and CSIRO in Australia.
