Biography
As an experienced architect, development planner, and development economist, I am currently located at the Bartlett Energy Institute and Development Planning Unit, University College London (UCL) as a Research Fellow. I received my doctorate in Development Planning from UCL, with a thesis titled 'Making participatory land policy in Pune, India'. I have international experience of doing research, teaching, and development practice in India, Egypt, Perú, and the European South. I draw on a range of disciplines to inform development planning practice in the global South, focusing on participatory approaches to development, land politics, place-making, and social justice in the postcolonial contexts. I am interested in working towards developing postcolonial/decolonial praxes to achieve greater social justice for all.
