UCL Energy Institute is looking for maternity cover for two positions: the LoLo and ERBE Academic Manager, and a Research Fellow in buildings and energy.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is an opportunity to join the UCL Energy Institute, a world-class centre for research and teaching set within the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources. You will provide maternity cover for two positions: the LoLo and ERBE Academic Manager, and a Research Fellow in buildings and energy.
The LoLo and ERBE Academic Manager (UCL) plays a key role in the student experience, training, and support of CDT students within the strategically important multi-million pound EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training in Energy Demand (LoLo CDT) and Energy Resilience and the Built Environment (ERBE). As a Research Fellow you will also undertake rigorous research in building physics and have the opportunity to contribute to a number of projects, including the characterisation of building elements, whole house heat loss and heating system performance.
This post is a maternity leave cover and is funded until 28 February 2023.
Key Requirements
You should hold a PhD in a topic related to energy demand and the built environment, with the ability to undertake high quality academic research in the performance of buildings. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to monitor progress and encourage the development of students.
