We're hiring a Communications, Marketing & Events Administrator, who will work across two of the four institutes that make up the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources, based in Bloomsbury, central London.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications, Marketing and Events Administrator to join the professional services team to support the activities of 4 Institutes: Energy Institute, Institute for Sustainable Resources, Institute for Sustainable Heritage, and Institute of Environmental Design and Engineering. All four Institutes focus on the issue of sustainability within their domains which is conducted through teaching, research and partnership engagement.

The post holder will work with the School’s Communications & Marketing Manager to provide proactive support for the School’s communications, marketing and events, including maintenance and development of digital communications channels. The post holder will lead for two of the Institutes.

The post is a fixed-term appointment until the 30 November 2019 as the current post holder is on secondment.

Key Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be educated to A level or have equivalent professional experience. An undergraduate qualification in a communications or marketing discipline would be ideal. They must have working knowledge of website management and Content Management Systems as well as the ability to design promotional material with design software such as Abobe InDesign and Photoshop. They will be adept with the use of social media to promote an organisation, project or campaign, and have experience of event management.

This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment, and the post holder is expected to be adaptable, proactive and quickly assimilate information. The role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and ability to remain tactful and assertive are required in order to adequately execute the duties outlined.
