Smart Grid article by Business Reporter features Dr. Catalina Spataru

Dr. Catalina Spataru, now a Lecturer in Energy Systems and Networks at the UCL Energy Institute, was interviewed by Joanne Frearson  of Business Reporter for an article titled ‘Power grids must become integrated and interoperable’.

In this article Catalina explains the challenges facing integration and the concerns over information security and that we need to work towards a more integrated framework for keeping all these systems secure. The article was written following the interview Catalina gave in December on trends in the smart grid area, potential issues when it comes to implementing a smart grid, security concerns and best way to overcome this.
