Third MECON project meeting held in Cambodia

8 July 2014

MECON project team

In May, the third meeting of the MECON project was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  The MECON project is investigating effective energy efficiency policy implementation targeting Modern Energy Consumers (i.e. those living on US $2-5, with electricity access) in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.  The two-year project is sponsored by DfID, DECC and the EPSRC.

Over two days, the six project partners from the UK (UCL), Thailand (JGSEE), Cambodia (RUA), Vietnam (HUST), Laos (NUOL) and Myanmar (MES), met to discuss progress on the project to date.  The next meeting will be held in November 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand.
