UCL-Energy researcher presented Ryuichi Kitamura Paper Award

Dr Maria Kamargianni, Researcher at the UCL Energy Institute, has been awarded the Ryuichi Kitamura Best Paper Award in Travel Analysis Methods, the first time that the award is given to a non-US University student.

Maria, along with co-author Prof Amalia Polydoropoulou of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, was presented the award for 'Development of a Hybrid Choice Model to Investigate the Effects of Teenagers’ Attitudes
 Towards Walking and Cycling on Mode Choice Behavior', at an awards ceremony in Washington DC on 14 January 2014 during the 93rd annual TRB meeting. After this, Maria was invited to present her research at the Institute of Transport Studies, at University of California, Davis (UCDavis) on the 17th of January.
