UCL Energy Institute professor to chair public policy debate
17 January 2012
Professor Paul Ekins is to chair a discussion on capitalism and green politics hosted by UCL School of Public Policy on Tuesday 24 January.

The event, entitled ‘The Green Moment? The Crises of Capitalism and the Response of Progressive Politics’ will look at areas such as whether a combination of green and social democratic political traditions could offer a convincing political prospect.
Professor Ekins will be joined by Michael Jacobs in his first lecture as Visiting Professor in the Department of Political Science and School of Public Policy, UCL, and discussants Andrew Simms (new economics foundation) and Professor Wyn Grant (Professor of Politics and International Studies, University of Warwick) to offer reflections on the nature of the current crisis and the challenges it raises for progressive political economy and political theory.
