Teaching Fellow MSc Social Development Practice
Location of position: London
Hours: Part Time
Hours per week (%FTE): 3.65 hours per week (10% FTE)
Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £39,353 - £42,701 per annum
The DPU wishes to appoint a part time Teaching Fellow to run 9 sessions, which is Part One of the module on Social Diversity, Inequality and Poverty. The sessions will run between September and December, with a written examination in April.
The module is a core module on the Masters Degree in Social Development Practice (MSc SDP). The SDP course is designed to equip students with the practical skills and theoretical foundations for addressing the challenges and complexities of the field of Social Development. It explores processes of social change, mobilisation and development that can generate greater equity and wellbeing for people with diverse identities living in cities of the Global South. Recognising that unequal social relations are a product of unequal power relations, this course explores different approaches through which populations gain access to rights, resources, and recognition. The course focuses on international contexts of development and in particular, cities in countries of the global south, in line with the urban focus of the DPU.
Informal enquiries about the post can be made to the MSc SDP Programme Leaders, Julian Walker (email@example.com) and Alexandre Apsan Frediani, (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Enquiries about the application process and/or the Development Planning Unit may be addressed to Nkenji Okpara, DPU Departmental Manager (email@example.com), tel: 0207 679 1117.
The closing date for application is 16 Jun, 23:59
