My research interests lie at the intersection of management, social science, and engineering. I have been approaching Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital engineering as innovations and Information Technology (IT) for generating, sharing, and managing information, communication and knowledge among actors. As BIM and digital technologies affect collaboration in projects, I've been researching BIM and digital transformation from an intra- and inter-organisational standpoint, and in particular through the lens of supply chains and networks. I'm interested in digital and relational aspects of governance of project networks for and due to the advancement of construction IT.
A list of my current projects:
_"Digital transformation in the built environment" funded by UCL Innovation & Enterprise (2018-2019) in collaboration with Dr Beth Morgan: https://tinyurl.com/ucl-digital
_"Recommendations for automated checking of regulations and requirements management in healthcare design" funded by the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) (2018-2019) in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield: https://tinyurl.com/healthcare-automation
_"AEC Delta Mobility" funded by InnovateUK (2018-2020) in collaboration with Dimitrie Stefanescu and industrial partners: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/bartlett/construction/research/management-projects/aec-delta-mobility
I teach at undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and executive levels. I'm leading the MSc option module on 'Integrating Project Information Systems with Building Information Modelling' for PEM and CEM programmes and the 2-year BSc module: ‘Professional skills for Project Management’. I supervise dissertations at both BSc and MSc levels.
Currently, I'm supervising three PhD students and accepting PhD students in the following areas (in no particular order):
_Digital and digitalisation
_Supply chain management
_Building Information Modelling.

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Building Information Modelling and Management and management consultant and executive coach in construction digitalisation. Currently, I'm also involved in the UCL's Construction Blockchain Consortium (CBC) social enterprise as a Steering Board member, researcher and responsible for operations.
Prior to joining academia, I worked as architect and design manager on a number of complex, international, and varying-scale projects in Greece, the Netherlands, and the Middle-East. I have a PhD degree in Design and Construction Management on the ‘Alignment of Partnering with Construction IT’ from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands, and a MSc degree (cum laude) in Architecture – with an emphasis on digital – also from TU Delft. Before moving to the Netherlands, I graduated (cum laude) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece, with Diploma in Architectural Engineering.
