High profile report on Shared Ownership launched

Professor Stanimira Milcheva has recently launched a cutting-edge data-led research titled 'The Maturing Shared Ownership Market: A Data-Led Analysis.' The study is conducted by UCL and commissioned by Sage Homes.

At the launch, findings of the research was shared to the attendees which consisted of representatives spanning the financial, housing, legal, political, and banking sectors. The event also featured an insightful panel discussion.

Analysing primary data from major registered providers, mortgage brokers and lenders, this UCL study not only gives a comprehensive view of how Shared Ownership has evolved but also highlights its strong prospects as a low-risk investment opportunity.

Stanimira said: “Our Shared Ownership report has had a lot of interest from both industry and policy makers, as we have provided new insights into a field that has hardly been researched due to the lack of data. On the back of the report, we have provided evidence for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) which was published here and I am invited to give evidence to the DLUHC committee on shared ownership in December. We carry on working with the stakeholders on scaling up this project and I am excited about the forthcoming research on this.”
