Professor Michael Pitt has been voted as one of the top 50 workplace leaders in a poll held by The Workplace Event. He is the Director of Teaching and Learning at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction and also the Programme Leader of the MSc Digital Innovation in Built Asset Management. Professor Pitt has been working closely with industry on projects related to facilities management (FM) linked to productivity and efficiency in the workplace with a particular focus on the office environment.

The Workplace Leaders Top 50 is hailed as the influential and celebratory list of inspiring leaders, innovators, pioneers and changemakers of the workplace today. These leaders have driven change and transformation in their organisations, creating positive impacts on their workplaces and industry as a whole. The list is nominated by fellow workplace and facility management peers and judged by the Workplace Event Advisory Council. Across six categories the final list was compiled from over 300 nominations and was announced at the Workplace Event at the NEC Birmingham on 25th April 2023.

Professor Pitt said: “I am pleased to be included in the Workplace Event Top 50 Workplace Leaders 2023 List as it demonstrates the real-world impact of concepts that have sometimes taken decades to develop. I am particularly delighted to be included alongside Professor Matthew Tucker from Liverpool John Moores University who is a former Facility Management Lecturer at the Bartlett and who completed his PhD under my supervision around 15 years ago.”
