Professor Martina Huemann joins The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction

In her new role as a Professor of Major Infrastructure Delivery, Martina Huemann will lead research in project management, leadership and major infrastructure delivery to provide intellectual leadership at BSSC.

Martina Huemann is joining BSSC from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business where she heads the Project Management Group in the Department Strategy and Innovation and is the Academic Director of the MBA Program: Strategic Project Management. With her strong network she bridges academia and practice, and considers research as a co-creation process. In her current research she focuses on stakeholder engagement, project careers and responsible project leadership for contributing to a sustainable future. For her Research on Human Resource Management in Projects she received the IPMA Research Award 2015. Martina is also Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Project Management which is the leading journal in the field of project management and Founding Editor-in-Chief of Project Leadership and Society.

Professor Huemann will bring her insight and experience to a range of programmes and activities at BSSC including the School’s new MBA. The Major Infrastructure Delivery MBA is a brand new and one of a kind programme designed specifically for professionals in the infrastructure industry in which leaderships is essential to navigate several aspects of project delivery. The aim of the programme is to provide project managers with the necessary training to assume increasingly higher management positions in organisations delivering major infrastructure projects.
