Jessy Gomes Moreira named as one of the 18 Most Influential Individuals in Health and Safety

PhD Student Jessy Gomes Moreira has been recognised as one of the ‘18 Most Influential Individuals’ in health and safety in 2022, following SHP’s Most Influential awards announcement.

PhD Student Jessy Gomes Moreira has been recognised as one of the ‘18 Most Influential Individuals’ in health and safety in 2022, following SHP’s Most Influential awards announcement. SHP's Most Influential List of 2022 celebrates people who are inspiring, engaging and have been driving change in occupational health and safety in the UK over the last 12 months. They are people who are successfully creating sound health and safety cultures in their organisations or the profession at large. 

Jessy is a creative thinker, PhD researcher and a Global Health and Safety Leader in the Construction sector. Her research looks at the broken business model and driving improvement on the wellbeing data in the male dominated construction industry. Jessy serves as an Occupational Safety and Health Strategist and women’s advocate in the profession. Her latest research is on Health and Safety strategies that are overcoming the plateaued statistics in the UK. She has also delivered a TEDx talk sharing about mental health, motherhood penalty in workplace, and construction sector.
