Dr Antoine Vernet

BSSC Associate Professor and Strategic Management of Projects MSc Programme Lead, Antoine Vernet, has received two awards from the Academy of Management (AOM).

AOM is a preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars.

Dr Vernet received the ABCD (above-and-beyond the call of duty) award from AOM’s Organization and Management Theory division. This award was first conferred in 1995 and it recognises people who are regarded as deserving of special recognition for the helpfulness, civility, extensiveness, and insight of their reviews.

He also received the Outstanding Reviewer award from AOM’s Strategic Management division. This award is given to researchers who provide the highest-quality (most extensive and constructive) reviews of competitive paper and symposium submissions for the division’s program as part of AOM’s annual meeting. The top 5% or less of reviewers, as determined by authors, receive the award.

Dr Antoine Vernet said:“I am very pleased to be recognised for my work as a reviewer by two divisions of the Academy of Management. Reviewing is an important part of a scholar's work and without it, our peer-review system would not function."
