C&PM 2013 Alumni and Networking Event

“The enthusiasm was amazing!”

Such was the atmosphere of the latest Bartlett SCPM A/N event on the 31st of January 2013, summed up by Professor Peter Morris. Joined by both domestic and international industry players, the event started with a very lively panel presentations.

This was then followed by a Q&A discussion session with our two guest speakers from Mace Group and the Network Rail, both leading organisations in the industry.

Followed by relaxed yet well-paced networking session, current students, alumni, industry and UCL SCPM staff gathered around for both research and industry’s latest updates and challenges in the built environment. The first 90 minutes panel session saw our guests welcomed by presentations from our Chair Professor Peter Morris and our Director Dr. Andrew Edkins.

Stories and experiences

Two SCPM alumni then picked up the baton to share their stories and experiences in working for the industry’s leading organisations. Their proactive participation and energy for the event further strengthens SCPM’s academic leadership and world-class reputation.

Upon this successful outcome of the A/N event, Dr. Andrew Edkins gave his comment,

“It was a privilege to be part of such a well organised and thoroughly useful and informative evening. It was great to see so many former students and current and prospective employers as well as lots of our students and staff. It is clear that the School of Construction and Project Management is in good shape and I very much look forward to the next event like this.”
