For the fourth year in a row, The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment has been ranked number two in the world for architecture by the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018, second only to Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The annual rankings are based on academic and employer reputation, as well as research impact, which is assessed using surveys, citation analysis and the impact of published work.

The Bartlett is the highest-ranked institution for architecture in the UK and Europe, and is one of only three UK architecture schools to feature in the top 25.
