New appointment to enhance public engagement

Dr Claire McAndrew has been appointed as Senior Research Fellow in Public Engagement at the school, joining us from The Bartlett’s Institute of Digital Innovation in the Built Environment.

Combining social science insight and design-led thinking, Claire's work focuses on the possibilities of design and digital innovation within the built environment for transformative social and cultural effect. Claire will be working with us to enhance our impact beyond the school, engaging with a wider public, especially at Here East.

“I’m delighted to be joining The Bartlett School of Architecture, known for creating the most radical, experimental ideas and engaging with the outside world with the aim of sharing knowledge, inviting dialogue and disrupting how things are done – for the better. This role opens up new opportunities to build upon this radical ethos, to push boundaries and innovate in public engagement activities, as we seek to strengthen our presence at Here East and enhance our impact beyond the school.
