Paul Bavister's latest competition-winning project with Flanaghan Lawrence, 'Stage by the Sea' (pictured) has recently opened in Littlehampton.

The 20m² seafront shelter and performance space for Littlehampton Town Council opened last month and features two curved, sprayed concrete shells each facing opposite directions.

According to a statement from the practice: ‘The two shells appear like white land forms emerging from the grass of the local greensward.

‘This reflects the historical context of the concrete sound mirrors along the south coast at Dungeness, and the visually striking form of the local sand dunes.’
