A swan song for Wates House
13 August 2014
Bartlett MArch Architecture graduate Daniel Cotton has created a short film about the old Wates House which was screened as part of The Bartlett Summer Show earlier this summer.

Cotton spent much of the year researching the history of the building and the memories of staff, students and alumni. The resulting film gives a voice to Wates House, which muses on the past and future of the building, and uses projection mapping to draw attention to the hybrid nature of our experience of space.
Wates House, the former home of The Bartlett School of Architecture, is now undergoing a major refurbishment. Recognising this as a significant moment in the building’s life, the film offers a unique perspective on the lifecycle of a building.
