CJ Lim's WanMu Ecological Park on show in London and Tokyo

4 July 2013

CJ Lim WanMu Ecological Park

WanMu Ecological Park, a project by Professor CJ Lim is currently exhibiting at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London, as well as the prestigious architectural venue GA Gallery in Tokyo in a show titled, GA International 2013: Emerging Future.

The Royal Academicians architect Eva Jiricna and printmaker artist Norman Ackroyd have curated the 245th RA Summer Exhibition. Winner of the 2006 Lend Lease Grand Architecture Prize, this year is CJ's 9th consecutive showing at the RA.

About the project

The 25.96km2 WanMu Ecological Park brings opportunities for improving ecological sustainability of existing habitats or creating new types of habitat/land use, beneficial to the local flora and fauna. Ecological education, aesthetics and social value of the wetland system and orchards aim to enhance the environmental conditions of the district. The green circulation infrastructure connects the Health Pier, the Apiary ‘Honey’ Centre and the Botanical Tower, as it weaves across new wetlands and existing orchards and villages, to embrace 'knowledge' Sun Yat-sen University in the east and 'economy' Guangzhou Exhibition Centre in the west. The Apiary ‘Honey’ Hill and the Botanical Tower provide visitors with knowledge of sustainable food production and nature, and also the most spectacular views of park and Guangzhou city.

  • The RA Summer Exhibition runs from 10 June to 18 August 2013.
