Professor Murray Fraser (Bartlett School of Architecture) has been nominated as Council Member of the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) - the first UCL staff member ever to have received the honour.

Professor Fraser, who is Director of Architectural Research and Professor of Architecture & Global Culture, is also the only Council Member from a British University. Fellow Council Members hail from universities across Europe.

The EAAE is the highest tier group in the architectural academic field and is dedicated to "the exchange of ideas and people within the field of architectural education and research". Its aim is to improve the quality of architectural and urban design education.

Professor Fraser said of the appointment: "This is a real opportunity for the Bartlett School of Architecture to become more directly involved in the strategies for European architectural education at a time of rapid change in the subject, and it will allow us to shape a vision for the future along with leading institutions on the continent."

More information about the EAAE can be found by visiting its website.
