Bartlett Wellness

The Bartlett Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place from Monday 15 May to Friday 19 May, hosting free events centred around wellbeing for all students and staff. The week-long engagement of activities scheduled will help raise awareness and bring community together.

Zumba Class

A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and a great engery boost. This Zumba class mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

Join Davy Vallecer in an dance aerobic-style class combining exercise and choreographed movements with infectious music to make staying active fun and easy. A full body workout that targets every muscle group and a brilliant way to strengthen the heart and lungs whilst getting blood pumping around the body.

Meditation and Mindfulness

The class will be guided through a series of meditative practices, including mindfulness, breathing exercises, and visualisation. Using techniques for calming the mind and nervous system, helping us to become more positive and focused, and reduce stress.

Meditation and Mindfulness will be peaceful yet uplifting; rejuvenating and deeply nourishing on many levels.

Yoga is an ancient system of practices used to bring harmony between the mind and body through movement, meditation and control of breath and emotions. Yoga improves strength, balance, flexibility and focus.

We encourge those joining to please bring your own mat, however there will be mats avalible on the day.

A 45-minute class of mindful flowing sequences, focusing on breath and building strength and flexibility. The sequences will have a particular emphasis on calming down our nervous system and releasing tension created from too much time at our desks. There will be options for all levels of experience, and a great playlist!

Join Student Adviser Kristina Labanauskaite for a short workshop on different strategies you can use to deal with stress. 

Stress is a normal part of life, but when it becomes excessive and prolonged, it can have negative effects on our physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Stress management is the process of identifying and reducing the sources of stress in our lives, as well as learning coping strategies to handle stress in a healthy and productive manner. In this session, Student Adviser Kristina Labanauskaite will explore various techniques for managing stress, as well as the importance of stress management for our overall health and well-being. 

This event is open to all Bartlett students and will take place on Teams.

Hear Riddler is a series of interactive song-guessing quiz shows put on by DFPI Year 2 students, which will include POP, Classical, RAP, JAZZ and more. Over the course of the hour-long show, we hope to start a journey of puzzle-solving involving both the performers and the audience.
