About
FABRICATE 2020 is co-organised by The Bartlett School of Architecture, Swinburne University of Technology and Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.
This event has been rescheduled from its original plan to run in early April 2020 at UCL. Now entirely online, global, and spanning four days instead of two, the event will broadcast twice daily to cater for audiences across hemispheres East and West, North and South.
Held over four days, the online conference will explore the overarching theme of Making Resilient Architecture across twenty presentations preceded by four keynote addresses from Julia Barfield (Marks Barfield Architects) and Kai Strehlke (Blumer Lehmann); Cristiano Ceccato (Zaha Hadid Architects); Philippe Block (ETH, Switzerland); and Meejin Yoon (Cornell University), each of which speaks to a critical and resonant theme:
- Bio-Materiality
- Synthesising design and production
- Optimisation for a Changing World
- Polemical Performative Practice
Visit the FABRICATE website to find out more.

Free tickets are available to watch the entire conference online as a guest via Cornell's Video On Demand streaming service.
