The Nature of Architecture
From the archeology of the city to the archeology of nature, Lina Ghotmeh’s lecture transports us into a built ecological future imbued with memories. Every project is an invitation into a new sensitive realm; revealing a narration drawn from history into a heightened sense of materiality.
Lina Ghotmeh – Architecture is a critically acclaimed, international firm of architects, designers, and researchers based in Paris. The firm’s innovative work crosses boundaries and geographies from object design to museum architecture, with projects ranging from France to Japan.
The atelier gathers more than 25 professionals and is led by Beirut-born Lina Ghotmeh, co-architect of the Estonian National Museum (which won the Grand Prix AFEX 2016 and was nominee of the Mies Van Der Rohe Award 2017). Lina has won the 40/40 European Award, the Prix DEJEAN of French Academy and the AJAP French Ministry of Culture Award. She was recently nominated for the Moira Gemmill Award organized by The Architects' Journal and Architecture Review for Women in Architecture.
