Lecturer's Abstract

"In this lecture, Peter Cook unlocks ‘Pandora’s Box’ and discovers and re-discovers some strange artefacts, before his thoughts lead to other artefacts ….and drift into a reverie. The next discovery in Pandora’s Box might be a forgotten item that - in turn - leads to further reveries. Towards the end, he shuts the Box and returns to new territories that - on reflection - can only be the wayward product of the reveries. The basic theme is that artefacts can be as powerful (if not more powerful) instigators of architecture than abstracts."
