This short course has been designed for younger students looking for a brief introduction to The Bartlett School of Architecture and to develop their understanding of architecture at University level. 14–16 year olds will make the decision about their GCSE’s and A-levels soon and will gain important information about the built environment.

The 1–2-day courses give an introduction into the specific skills an architect needs but also allows the students to develop their collaborative skills.

Is it for me?

We're looking for applications from motivated students who are passionate about drawing and making. There are no required skills or subjects.

Each expert teaches what they do best, with clear guidelines, true passion, and professional insight in every lesson.

You will meet students from all parts of London and can collaborate in studios, exploring and expressing your creativity. Ask questions, request feedback, or offer solutions. Share your learning experience with other students in the community who are as passionate about creativity as you are.

You will learn valuable methods and techniques inspiring your work at school.

This summer school is based on campus and is for students able to travel independently to The Bartlett School of Architecture and attend all day, between 10.30 and 16:00.

Students will receive a Certificate of Participation if they attend a minimum of 75% of the course.

We can only accept students who are 14–16 years old at the start of the course, in accordance with DBS checks.

Please note that we cannot provide any visa information, visa letters or support with finding accommodation.

COVID restrictions permitting, the summer school will take place at The Bartlett School of Architecture's London campus. All guidelines will be followed by the government and UCL.
