A Journey through Lithuania
6
Finally, we arrived at PALANGA – Lithuania’s main beach resort. Palanga, where amber has
been found since the ancient times, is a place for a great holiday, to enjoy the sand, dunes,
sea and waves that can be found only in Lithuania!

It was a beautiful sunny summer’s day
and the beach in Palanga was full of
people playing music and having fun. |

We used the little changing booth to change into
our swim suits and had a swim in the sea. It was
a bit cold so we didn’t stay in for long! We had
our lunch on the beach – we bought čeburekai (a
type of meat samosa) and šaltas alus (cold beer),
from the man walking along the beach with a
big box. Later when he came past again we both
bought ledai (ice cream). |

Sunset and the end of our journey. Farewell!
We hope you enjoyed our trip through
Lithuania. Come and visit! |
