Congratulations to HoA Alumnus Levi Prombaum, who has been selected as an ACLS Leading Edge Fellow

18 September 2020

UCL HoA are delighted to announce that Alumnus Levi Prombaum has been named as an American Council of Learned Societies Leading Edge Fellow for his project "Centering Care in the Arts." These fellowships respond to the COVID-19 crisis and its effects on hard-hit communities.

Prombaum

The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) launched the $1.6 million rapid-response fellowship (sponsored by the Henry Luce Foundation) in order to harness and utilise the power of humanities scholarship to tackle the challenges faced by the communities hit hardest by COVID-19. Leading Edge Fellows will work directly with a non-profit organization.

Levi, who was awarded his PhD from UCL HoA last year, has been awarded a fellowship for his project ‘Centering Care in the Arts’. The project will contribute to the MASS MoCA/Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Care Syllabus, which aims to generate civic discourse and public engagement through accessible and free online programming focused on the needs of local community members and nearby urban populations affected by COVID-19.

Congratulations again to Levi!
