A Practical Introduction to ICU

A one day introductory course in the practical basics of critical care aimed at:

All those who have little or no ICU/HDU experience eg FY1/2, ST1/2 Medicine or Surger

0900 – 0930: Welcome and introduction

Respiratory Failure and Ventilators  
Cardiovascular failure, inotropes and monitoring 

Renal failure + renal replacement therapy 
Critical care pharmacology


Practical sessions run by the faculty in small groups
