Lizzie Evens co-coordinates BAAS seminar series

This Autumn, as part of the BAAS-funded project looking at the history of gendered state violence in the United States, we are hosting a series of seminars and conversations with archivists, activists, and academics. Lizzie Evens recently completed her PhD at UCL Institute of the Americas, and her thesis was titled Regulating Women: Female Professionals and Gendered Surveillance in the Late Nineteenth- and Early Twentieth-Century United States. Lizzie worked under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Bell and Dr Nick Witham.
