Quintijn Kat takes up post at Ashoka University

We are pleased to share the news that Dr Quintijn Kat will shortly be taking up a position as assistant professor at the International Relations department of Ashoka University. His appointment will add strong regional expertise of the Americas to their faculty.

Ashoka University, located in the state of Haryana, India, is listed in the country's top ten private universities for arts, sciences & mathematics.

Congratulations are in order!

Dr Quintijn Kat completed his PhD at the Institute of the Americas, University College London (UCL) in 2020. His dissertation project was titled 'On the Basis of Consent: Subordinate-state Agency and US Hegemony in Latin America (1990-2010)'. He worked under the supervision of Professor Kevin Middlebrook and Dr Tony McCulloch.
