Hanqi Lu accepted to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences PhD programme

We would like to warmly congratulate UCL alumna Hanqi Lu on her recent acceptance to the PhD programme at the prestigious Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Hanqi says of her time at UCL Americas: 'I learned a lot when I was at UCL, especially in areas such as critical thinking skills. Under the supervision of Dr Engstrom, I finished my dissertation about Latin America and sustainable development. Dr Engstrom was extremely helpful and approachable. I will be starting my PhD at the Institute of Latin America of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on September this year, and I am working to improve my Spanish.'

Hanqi completed her MSc in International Relations of the Americas under the supervision of Dr Par Engstrom in 2019.
