Alejandra Irigoin (LSE) will talk with Daniela Marino (Escuela Nacional de Antropologia e Historia, México) and Ariadna Acevedo Rodrigo (CINVESTAV-IPN, México) about Liberalism and Indigenous Communities in Nineteenth-Century Latin America.
Daniela Marino is the author of Huixquilucan. Ley y justicia en la modernización del espacio rural mexiquense, 1856-1910 (Madrid: Consejo Superior de la Investigación Científica, 2016).
Ariadna Acevedo Rodrigo is co-editor, with Paula López Caballero, of Beyond Alterity: Destabilizing the Indigenous Other in Mexico (Tucson: University of Arizona Press, 2018).
