The 2016 Colombian peace accord with the FARC-EP created an innovative transitional justice system. The Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), a key component of this system, comprises three chambers, a tribunal and an Investigation and Accusation Unit (IAU).
In this lecture Chief Prosecutor and head of the IAU Dr Giovani Alvarez will discuss progress of transitional justice in Colombia and challenges for the future.
