The University College London Colombian Society is hosting the Colombian Research in the UK 6th Annual Summit, entitled The Bicentenary: Looking Back and Moving Forward, scheduled to be held on the 2nd and 3rd of October at UCL.
The UCL Colombian Society is a student-led group that aims to foster links between the Colombian academic community at UCL and across the UK and, more broadly, to promote collaboration and partnership between Colombia and the UK. The annual research summit, which they are organising in partnership with the Association of Colombian Fellows in the UK (Asociación de Becarios Colombianos en el Reino Unido – ABeCol), responds to this commitment.
The event seeks to bring together researchers at different stages in their careers and from various disciplines who have an interest in Colombia, allowing them to share their research and experience, exchange ideas, and discuss ways to generate impact on Colombia. While the themes of the summit will be wide-ranging, the bicentenary of Colombia’s independence will provide a common framework to reflect on the role of knowledge and research in the ongoing process of nation building.
The full agenda is available on the Research Colombia website.
