Emiliano Zapata (1879-1919), military leader of the Liberating Army of the South and Centre, is one of the most iconic figures of the Mexican Revolution. These lectures by two of the foremost experts in the field, and the exhibition of photographs from the Gustavo Casasola Collection and other archives, commemorate the centenary of his assassination.

Mr Casasola will speak in Spanish.

This event is cosponsored by the Institute of Latin American Studies (School of Advanced Studies, University of London) and the Institute of the Americas (University College London), with the participation of the Embassy of Mexico in the United Kingdom.
