TechSocial Series

The popular, informal UCL Research Programming Technical Social series returns, for anyone with an interest in the computational methods and technology behind research and innovation.

Having expanded under the “Knowledge Quarter Codes” name to welcome participation from academic and industrial organisations across the Knowledge Quarter and build a shared community of practice, the TechSocial series offers an opportunity to connect with fellow practitioners, and to discuss and learn about useful tools and techniques which may help with your work.

The series are held monthly, usually the second Wednesday from 4.00pm onwards, with an informal format as follows:

  • Short talk on a tool, program, environment, language or technique of general interest to researchers, research software engineers and data scientists.
  • Discussion inspired by the talk, over pizza and drinks.
  • Option to retire to an appropriate social venue.

All are welcome, whatever your background or career stage!
