Biographical Details

After receiving his early education in Cornwall, in 2002 Russell completed a Master’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Oxford (St John’s College). In 2006 he was admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the same institution, having submitted a thesis entitled Application of Room Temperature Ionic Liquids as Electrochemical Solvents. Between 2006-09 he worked as a Technical Administrator for Penwith Housing Association in Penzance. Russell joined the Department of Statistical Science at UCL in late 2010.

Responsibilities

The Admissions & Examinations Administrator's primary duties are to co-ordinate all examinations-related functions and to provide an efficient and responsive admissions service for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Department of Statistical Science.

The post holder also undertakes various other duties in areas such as staff recruitment, facility management and maintenance of the departmental website.
