I am interested in studying heterogeneity in biological clonal populations, as to which extent is the underlying stochasticity tolerated by the system or does the system have advantages based on this stochasticity, e.g. could this property provide more plasticity in response to changing environment. I finished my PhD in Biology at Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb, with thesis on characterizing the random movement of D. discoideum cells with parameters of generalized Langevin model. In 2015 I joined MRC-LMCB as a postdoc in Jonathan Chubb’s lab. I currently enjoy working on scRNA-Seq data set, which is a very noisy set itself, and trying to extract and describe biological noise together with the identification of potentially interesting genes to be analysed further experimentally.
