Introduction to Managing UCL Finances

Participants: This course is for staff with leadership or management responsibility, or if you anticipate taking on management responsibility within the coming year.

Pre-requisites: None

Overview: This half-day module will help you to manage your team's, group's, or department's finances. Please note that this course doesn't cover specifics regarding MyFinance.

Anticipated learning outcomes: This session will enable you to:

  • understand how UCL finances work and the financial challenges currently facing UCL
  • monitor your own budgets and complete a forecast
  • Managing resources, performance and risk
