Clinical Cardiovascular Engineering

Library of 3D Anatomies

This section features the on-going project to create a virtual library of patient-specific anatomical models. Over the past decade, we have built more than 800 models through post-processing medical images. Such medical images include those obtained through computed tomography, magnetic resonance, and 3D echocardiography. This library currently contains detailed images and animations of cardiovascular reconstructions of control subjects and patients with congenital and acquired heart defects. In addition, other anatomical models are included as an overview of our activities related to patient specific models of non cardiovascular anatomical structures.
