  • Structural Heart Disease - Rapid prototyping models of the pulmonary trunk and bifurcation in 12 patients with Tetralogy of Fallot, who were operated on as neonates and re-assessed 10 -15 years after complete repair. Models are constructed from 3D MR images. Note the massive range of individual anatomies in these patients.

The UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science was set up in 2011 and aims to be a world-class centre of excellence in pioneering novel, integrative strategies in preventative and therapeutic cardiovascular medicine. Based in the UCL Faculty of Population Health Sciences, the UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science brings together basic and clinical scientists from UCL and expert clinicians from UCL partner hospitals.

We offer a range of courses; MSc in Cardiovascular Science, PhD for Science Graduates, Research Degrees and Short courses. 

Our staff work conduct research in Myocardial disease, Structural heart disease, Vascular disease, Imaging, Cardiovascular genetics, Regenerative medicine, Genetic epidemiology & translational cardiovascular genomics and Preventions and outcomes.
