Co-Investigator

Dr Croxford is a senior lecturer within the Environment@Bartlett group in the Bartlett School of graduate studies. He brings to the project twelve years experience of monitoring and modelling urban environments. He has developed, as part of an alpha rated EPSRC project (GR/J 50613), novel street level environmental loggers that have subsequently been developed and used for research projects funded by Department of Health, and ODPM. He is a co-investigator on the LUCID project investigating urban heat island effects, and is a co-investigator on the Vivacity2020 consortium project under the Sustainable Urban Environments programme. He has extensive experience of working in consortia for several cross disciplinary projects, involving such disparate disciplines as toxicologists, psychiatrists, and social scientists.

Dr Croxford has also supervised a large number of MSc dissertations, more than 75 in 6 years, covering a wide range of topics, generally all involving the area of climate change and the environment. He will be course director for the Masters course in Environmental Design and Engineering from September 2007
