## Dark energy models

The universe is undergoing a period of accelerated expansion. I work on dark energy models which attempt to explain this acceleration. I am interested in Scalar-Fluid models: these are quintessence models where an interaction between dark matter and dark energy is added at the level of the Lagrangian.

## Teleparallel gravity

Teleparallel gravity is an alternative formulation of general relativity (GR) based on the torsion tensor of the Weitzenbock connection, as opposed to the curvature of the Levi-Civita connection of GR. I am interested in models in which an additional boundary term is inserted into the action, which are able to incorporate f(R) gravity and f(T) gravity into one framework.

## Star solutions in general relativity

I am interested in properties of fluid solutions in general relativity. I have looked at slowly rotating perfect fluids and considered their matching to background which is either asymptotically de Sitter or anti-de Sitter. I've also looked at mass-radius ratio bounds in higher dimensional gravity. I have considered both higher dimensional general relativity and five dimensional Gauss-Bonnet gravity.
