UCL Open Day Travel Bursary

Cancellation of UCL Open Days on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2026

Following updated weather forecasts and UK government guidance, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our UCL Open Days scheduled for Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2026. Please do not travel to campus for these events. If you successfully applied for a travel bursary through the Access and WP Open Day Travel Bursary scheme, you will be contacted directly about your reimbursement claim.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, students must be in Year 12 and attending a state school or college in the UK, live outside of Greater London and must meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. are eligible for free school meals
2. are currently or have experience of being in care (e.g. local authority care, foster care, residential care)
3. are a young carer
4. are estranged from parent(s)
5. are a forced migrant (e.g. refugee or asylum seeker)
6. are from the Gypsy, Roma or Traveller community

As the Travel Bursary is limited, you will be awarded points based on the number of criteria that you meet. Applicants with the highest numbers of points will be offered the bursary.

Important information

• Only costs for public transport will be covered (standard class travel only).

• Reimbursement only applies to eligible prospective students and up to one parent or carer. Your travel receipt should include your individual tickets and be uploaded as proof to the application.
