A one-week programme covering the world of health start-ups and small businesses that are driving innovation in the digital health sector.
Using simulation and gamification, participants will gain an understanding of how to initiate a health-related start-up, the decision-making processes and the dynamics and competitive nature of the digital health marketplace for new products and services.
There will be an opportunity to meet health entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and app developers, as well as visits to health innovation spaces in London. The programme will also cover the importance of AI and data analytics for driving forward this exciting space for next-generation healthcare.
Participants will also get an introduction to the regulatory and investment environment for digital health technologies.

The UCL Cancer Institute is the hub for cancer research at UCL and has brought together a diverse mix of more than 400 scientists and clinicians to improve our understanding of cancer and how we can find new treatments to provide excellent patient care.This year, we are excited to invite you to attend our Taster Day at the Institute! On this interactive day you will hear from student researchers, scientists and medical professionals on the career journey that has led to their research. You will get the opportunity to see demonstrations and take part in practical sessions, all led by our scientists, based on the cutting-edge work we do here.
This day has been designed to give you a real insight into cancer research, and to show you that it is possible for anyone to become a cancer researcher.

- Philosophy Taster Day (10 May 2025)

Ever wanted to study philosophy at university? Want to know more about moral and political philosophy, metaphysics, logic, and more? Come along to UCL’s Philosophy Taster Day which will introduce students to the wide-ranging subject and what it’s like studying it at a higher education level.
The day will include sample talks from faculty in the department, covering a range of core areas in philosophy. These sessions will be designed to reflect the experience of taking classes at undergraduate level, giving students a good overview of the course itself.
There will also be a Q&A session, in which students will have to opportunity to raise questions about the department, admissions and more – sign up now for a great chance to learn more about one of the oldest subjects in the world!

Engineers are involved in a huge range of meaningful activities: from machine learning, robotics and AI, creating earthquake-resistant buildings and infrastructure, medicine development and healthcare research, clean water and energy production, space exploration and much more.
UCL’s integrated Engineering Foundation Year (EFY) presents an opportunity to access and excel in your chosen UCL Engineering degree, including those that could lead you to the above fields and beyond.
At our taster day, you’ll get to explore UCL East and our facilities, including our labs; enjoy a practical, hands-on engineering activity based on teaching and learning on the EFY; speak to EFY students and academics; learn more about the different forms of engineering; and find out more about how the programme works, how we’ll support you, and insight into the application process.

Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Have you considered audiology? Audiologists work with patients who have hearing loss and help them improve their quality of life.
We are running a taster day to give you an insight into what audiologists do and what it's like to study with us at UCL Ear Institute, a globally renowned centre for audiovestibular education and world-leading research.
There will be sessions on UCL’s Audiology BSc, a three-year course that aims to train students to join the healthcare workforce as audiologists, as well as general information about the subject and what a career in audiology looks like.

UCL is excited to offer a Summer Taster Day welcoming students from diverse backgrounds, aged 16 to 18, to explore issues of identity, activism and performance through a range of artworks spanning the ‘renaissance’ and the modern day.
You’ll experience what it’s like to study history of art at one of the world’s leading universities, examining artworks up-close in nearby galleries and engaging in lively seminar discussions led by our skilled tutors.
It’s a great opportunity to explore the subject and find out about the many diverse career paths offered by a degree in History of Art.
