Dr Marc Serfaty
Jessica Satchell- Trial Manager
Jessica is the Trial Manager for the VIP study. She is also working on a PhD alongside the VIP trial.
Before UCL, Jess completed an MSc in clinical and forensic psychology at King’s College London. She has previously assisted on research projects exploring the transitions and outcomes of young people raised in kinship care, and identifying the traits and risk triggers which predispose people to rough sleeping. Jess has also worked for No Second Night Out, a rapid intervention service for people found rough sleeping in London, and has volunteered for community development projects in Sri Lanka.
Estella Lumer - PHD placement student
Estella is working on the VIP trial as part of a placement organized by the MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences she is currently attending at UCL.
Before UCL, Estella completed a BA in pre-medical studies and psychology at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in the United States. While an undergraduate, she interned at Columbia University where she worked on mice models to study brain pathways that may be involved in schizophrenia. She also shadowed Neuro-Rehabilitation Specialists at a rehabilitation center for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, where she coordinated activities for the residents. In addition, she also shadowed a dermatologist in Italy as he volunteered to treat homeless and low-income patients.
