London National March on Saturday 13th January as part of a Global Day of Action for Gaza

In line with UCU national and local policy to support action calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli war on Gaza we warmly encourage members to attend the London National March on Saturday 13th January, that is part of a Global Day of Action calling for a ceasefire.
Hundreds of thousands are expected to join the “National March for Palestine” from Bank in the City of London to Parliament Square. It will be the seventh national demonstration since October which, together with five days of action so far, constitutes one of the largest sustained political campaigns in British history.
The main march assembles at 12 noon at the Bank junction in the City of London.
To allow UCU members to march together behind branch banners, there will be a trade union section, which will assemble at 11:30am nearby, at the corner of Queen Victoria St and Bucklersbury.

The demonstration has been called by the UK organising coalition – the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Palestinian Forum in Britain, Stop the War Coalition, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Friends of Al Aqsa and the Muslim Association of Britain.
